Abstract

In the rapidly evolving landscape of higher education, effective teaching strategies are essential for fostering not only academic knowledge but also critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This study investigates prospective teachers’ perceptions of the influence that professors’ teaching strategies have on students’ academic performance at the university level. Employing a quantitative survey of 100 prospective teachers, the research reveals that 60% believe teaching strategies significantly impact academic outcomes, while 40% remain skeptical. The findings align with existing literature emphasizing the importance of diverse, student-centered, and technology-integrated pedagogies. Additionally, the study highlights the critical role of teacher training in enhancing instructional effectiveness and student engagement. Recommendations include implementing ongoing professional development and promoting innovative teaching methods to improve academic achievement and holistic student development. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how teaching approaches affect learning outcomes and underscores the need for continuous pedagogical improvement in higher education.
